Front drivers side clunking noise


















So, recently I've been experiencing a "clunking" sound from the above mentioned front drivers side suspension, when I pass over sudden irregularities. things like pot holes, curbs, speed bumps. Steering angle has no apparent bearing on the noise, and the car isn't visibly sagging or uneven. It drives fine.  · Sup everyone. Car is an 18' Civic Type-R About two weeks ago I noticed I hear a clunking noise whenever I turn the wheel and go over an imperfection on the road, speed bump or anything along those lines. I only hear it on the driver front. I do have Swift springs installed, I .  · I have a 06 rav 4 sport with about 98, miles. I first started hearing the clunking maybe a year ago. It progressively has gotten worse. It doesn't only happen when I turn the steering wheel. If I'm driving at slow-medium speeds, it will make the clunking noise on the driver side. It's extremely loud now and unbearable.

It seems like it happens mostly when accelerating to about 40 (then I lose the noise) and when coming to a stop I can hear it as well. I can feel the clunk under my feet, so I thought it was sway bar. The shock bushing/area was moving up and down until it contacted the lower mounting bolt, creating the clunking noise. You can check this by having someone rock the front of the truck back and forth (by pushing on the driver or passenger side fender) while you lay under the truck and watch the lower mounting point on the shock.
